Pete Seeger- Where Have All the Flowers Gone ?

Pete Seeger, in the classic folk song method, took something old and something new and made a classic.

In fact it was so popular, the message may have been somewhat diluted.

Check out its history on wikipedia (don’t miss the number of people who’ve recorded it. In particular, the last one)

Some time soon, we’ll post Pete’s last recording - I’m Still Searching

New Guitar Lesson - "All I Want" by Joni Mitchell

After James posted this song by Joni a few months ago many fans asked for the "guitar only" version and James did not disappoint. In this video James recut to share just his hands while inching up the guitar volume to help illustrate. "All I want" of course is from Joni's 1971 album, Blueon which James played guitar.

"Remember Me on This Computer ?"

Your computer can remember a lot about you. And that can make it easier to log in to websites.

Sometimes that is OK and sometimes it might send information you don’t want to send. Or, if it is a shared computer - or you want to protect your identity if the computer is stolen - you may want to re-enter the log in information, every time. It can be a pain but, critical sites like banking, will keep you better protected.

Here’s some more info

This is how James Taylor produces his unique sound

Through great thought and many years, James has developed a signature sound and style.

His syncopated use of both hands, creates a more flowing guitar style. Spreading out the notes.

Also, instead of standard chord formations, he uses less usual note combinations to put space, tension and resolution into his performance.

Plus, he’s got a killer guitar !

What's an OOKLA

Although the island internet can be slow - there have been cases where - the bandwidth being sent to you, loses strength - inside your house.

One way to check is with the free service OOKLA.

It will run on your computer but, if you install on your phone, you can test from different spots in your house. Might help to understand how the signal from your router can lose strength.

The Beatles - Get Back- in depth movie review

Hopefully you’ve been able to watch it on Disney+.

Both Ringo and Paul are touring this year.

Here’s a 15 minute, excellent review by Rick Beato - a well known musician and You Tuber

Watch it here

During a meeting while the Beatles were breaking up (with much help from others) , John Lennon famously looked over his glasses at Paul and said “Paul, it’s just me - John”.

Much has been said of this acrimonious time but people forget - these guys did well over 1,000 performances and spent more than 10,000 hours together.

This upcoming movie uses previously lost footage to show a a real look into this incredible group of people.
